Hair Routine Guide

A simple, effective routine to help you get healthier, shinier, and more manageable hair using Elixir Capilar products.

Choose the steps that best fit your hair type and lifestyle. Consistency is more important than perfection.

1. Cleanse — Gentle Shampoo

Start by washing your hair with a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo. This removes buildup, sweat, and excess oil without stripping your natural moisture.

  • Use lukewarm water, not hot.
  • Focus on the scalp and roots; let the foam run through the lengths.
  • Rinse thoroughly to avoid residue.

2. Treat — Hair Mask Treatment

This is the heart of your routine. The Hair Mask Treatment is designed to deeply nourish, repair, and soften your hair.

  • Remove excess water with a towel before applying.
  • Apply the mask from mid-lengths to ends. Avoid the roots if your hair gets oily easily.
  • Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to distribute the product evenly.
  • Leave on for 10–15 minutes for daily care, or up to 20 minutes for a deeper treatment.

3. Rinse — Seal in Shine

Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water. This helps seal the cuticle and enhances shine.

  • Make sure there is no product left in the hair.
  • Gently squeeze out water with a towel — avoid rough rubbing.

4. Protect — Before Heat Styling

If you use a blow dryer, straightener, or curler, always protect your hair first.

  • Apply your favorite heat protectant on damp or dry hair.
  • Keep the dryer or tools at a moderate temperature.
  • Avoid passing the iron multiple times over the same section.

5. Finish — Daily Maintenance

Between washes, focus on maintaining softness and shine without overloading your hair.

  • Brush gently from ends to roots to avoid breakage.
  • Use a lightweight oil or serum only on mid-lengths and ends if needed.
  • Avoid tight hairstyles that pull on the scalp.

How often should I use the Hair Mask Treatment?

The ideal frequency depends on your hair type and current condition:

  • Normal hair: 1–2 times per week.
  • Dry or damaged hair: 2–3 times per week.
  • Very processed or bleached hair: you can use it more often, focusing on mid-lengths and ends.

Tips by Hair Type

Curly or wavy hair

Combine the Hair Mask Treatment with gentle drying using a microfiber towel or cotton T-shirt. Avoid brushing when completely dry; use a wide-tooth comb on damp hair.

Straight or fine hair

Apply less product and focus on the ends to avoid weighing the hair down. Rinse thoroughly to keep movement and volume.

Color-treated or bleached hair

Make the Hair Mask Treatment a key part of your routine. Consistent hydration helps maintain shine, flexibility, and color vibrancy over time.
